Project Manager, Salesforce-to-Shopify Migration

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the end-to-end migration from Salesforce Commerce Cloud to Shopify. This contract role will drive project planning, cross-functional coordination, risk management, and successful execution of the migration, ensuring alignment across technical and business teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the end-to-end project plan for the Salesforce Commerce Cloud to Shopify migration, including timelines, milestones, dependencies, and resource coordination.
- Serve as the primary point of contact across IT, Site Experience, and Merchandising teams to ensure alignment on deliverables, priorities, and timelines.
- Facilitate project meetings, status reviews, and stakeholder communications while proactively identifying and mitigating risks and blockers.
- Monitor project scope and manage change requests through established governance and decision-making processes.
- Maintain key project documentation, including project plans, RAID logs, status reports, meeting notes, and leadership updates.
- Coordinate testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), cutover planning, and go-live activities across stakeholder groups.
- Manage cross-functional dependencies between technical and business workstreams to ensure successful project execution.
- Provide concise and actionable project updates to leadership regarding timeline health, risks, and overall progress.
- Establish repeatable project management processes, templates, and best practices that can support future digital initiatives.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Experience migrating clients to Shopify, the ideal candidate will have done a full migration from Salesforce to Shopify!
- 5+ years of project management experience, including experience supporting large-scale ecommerce implementations, migrations, or platform modernization efforts.
- Experience managing cross-functional initiatives involving both technical and business stakeholders.
- Understanding of e-commerce platforms - Shopify and Salesforce Commerce Cloud or similar solutions.
- Familiarity with data migration, integration, testing, and quality assurance processes associated with e-commerce platform transitions.
- Knowledge of e-commerce fundamentals, including site experience, merchandising operations, and online customer journeys.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience using project management tools such as Asana, Jira, Smartsheet, or Microsoft Project.
- Proven ability to manage project scope, timelines, risks, and competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- PMP, CSM, or similar certification preferred but not required.
- Experience supporting retail or direct-to-consumer ecommerce organizations is a plus.
